Meet the Founders of Plants of the gods
Jaco’s Journey
From a young age, I’ve had a deep love for both nature and people. That love evolved into a lifelong passion—a calling to discover the most effective ways to support healing and well-being in myself, my community, and the world around me.
My journey took me through years of physical exploration: from bodybuilding and CrossFit to extreme hiking, trail running, mountain biking, and endurance racing. I pushed my body to its limits, always seeking natural ways to recover and grow stronger. But it wasn’t just about performance—I faced serious challenges with gut health, liver and pancreas function, and mental exhaustion.
Time after time, conventional pharmaceutical approaches failed me. I had no choice but to learn how to heal myself—through nutrition, herbs, mushrooms, meditation, and breathwork. It was a lonely path at times, but it taught me how to bring true wellness to the body, mind, and soul.
Now, my mission is to make that path less lonely for others. I want to create a space where the tools, knowledge, and support for self-healing are accessible to all—because everyone deserves the chance to take their health into their own hands.
When did I start in this industry?
I’ve been immersed in the world of health and wellness for over 19 years, driven by a passion that continues to evolve every day.
Armand’s Journey
For me, this path began with a passion for healing and nature. I’ve always been curious—eager to understand how things work and how to improve human potential. I was never satisfied with surface-level answers.
My interest in health and performance began in high school, where I discovered the power of supplementation. To afford my own, I started selling supplements to friends, even handcrafting my own blends from harvested herbs and drying them in my mom’s oven.
This passion led me to open a functional fitness facility, where I coached others from illness to wellness, and from wellness to peak physical performance. I’ve experimented with countless protocols—biohacking, training, breathwork, plant medicine—and I’ve done it all without the crutch of mainstream healthcare. I haven’t had medical aid or seen a conventional doctor in nearly 20 years.
What I’ve learned is this: nature provides everything we need to heal. My role has been to guide others in reclaiming that connection—especially through the use of ethnobotanicals and functional herbs and mushrooms.
When did I start in this industry?
It’s been nearly two decades. I started selling supplements in high school and have been guiding people with herbs, plants, and nutrition ever since.
